  • Develop alternative ways of thinking about these challenges, their roles within their organisation and the larger organisational context;
  • Harness the collective wisdom of the group to develop appropriate responses to challenges that could impede their effectiveness;
  • Reflect on their leadership practice and responses to the challenges they face;
  • Enhance their capacity to function effectively under increasing uncertainty and change;
  • Consider how to build an organisation capable of thriving within the future environment;

Context

The combination of increasing competition and technological development has made rapid change and adaption a necessity for organisational survival. Within this environment, leaders need to develop the relationships and capabilities to:
  • Achieve more in less time, under more stressful conditions.
  • Rapidly understand and effectively address complex issues.
  • Manage people with increasingly diverse perspectives and expectations.
  • Achieve their business-as-usual commitments while driving change.
ELA believes that learning groups are highly effective addressing these challenges and while cultivating collaborative leadership cultures across functional silos.

Format

Our Executive Learning Group Programs typically bring together up to ten participants per learning group from different areas in an organisation on a monthly basis.

A professional convener guides the group to create a supportive but challenging learning environment that allows members to engage in open, honest dialogue in an atmosphere of mutual trust and confidentiality.

By harnessing the collective wisdom of their peers in identifying and focusing on critical aspects of key business challenges, members significantly enhance the quality of their thinking and their effectiveness as leaders.
